McSorley's Ole Ale House

McSorley's Old Ale House has been a gathering place since 1854. Located in the East Village, McSorley's can boast of being New York City's oldest continuously operated saloon. Everyone from Abe Lincoln to e.e. cummings to John Lennon have passed through McSorley's swinging doors. If you're a women, have no worries, women were finally allowed access to McSorley's in 1970!

So belly up. Enter the sawdust strewn floors and history patched walls for a trip back through time. Don't expect much of a selection of beverages when you walk through the door, McSorley's only serves their own "light" or "dark" ale in half-pints so order smart! Each half-pint is $2 so for $4 you've got yourself a pint. Quite the bargain for a New York City pub of this stature.

Now get out there and get drunk with the spirits of 150 years!
