Union Square Park

A favorite hang-out of mine and a landmark of New York City, Union Square park is a MUST see for anyone visiting or living in New York. Acting as a cultural crossroad and located just north of 14th street between Broadway and Park Ave S., Union Square is a vibrate park which holds the essence of New York City. Whether you're in the mood for a local farmers market, an art show, music, or just plain people watching there are always fun things going on in the Square. Also check-out yoga classes held weekly or skateboarders tearing up the pavement if that happens to be your thing.

Located in the heart of New York, just about every subway line runs through it's station making it a great place to meet up with friends or to navigate around the city. You can catch the N,Q, R, W, 4, 5, 6, and L train here. Also the square is walking distance from other popular destinations such as Washington Square Park, Astor Place, and 5th Avenue.

Whole Foods, the Strand Bookstore, Starbucks and Union Square Cinema all line the square as well. If you ever find yourself needing a place to unwind, enjoy a novel, or check out some of New York's culture, Union Square is the place to be!
