Metropolitan Museum (MET) Rooftop Garden Martini Bar

Sipping a cocktail in the rooftop sculpture garden of the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a truly unique experience that only a place like New York can offer! Located on the city's famous 5th Avenue at 81st street, this Upper East Side museum offers unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline and Central Park. Plain and simple, the rooftop garden is a must when visiting New York. Now although it is the perfect destination after a tiring tour of the museum, don't be shy to just head right on up-stairs when you arrive and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

Right after you enter the museum head left, you'll first have to purchase a ticket to enter. Tickets are sold purely on a "donation" basis so don't feel as if you have to plop down the "suggested" donation of $20. That may sound cheap but let's face it, New York is an expensive city and you're heading up to the roof for pricey drinks.

Once you have your tickets it can be quick difficult to find the way up to the rooftop so don't be afraid to ask the nearest employee or security guard for directions. As the case with most New Yorkers, they'll be more than delighted to help! (yes folks New Yorkers aren't as rude as most people think, just don't stare to long at that delicious slice of pizza they're holding..you may get mugged)

Don't forget to take in the art on your way up (you are in the MET after all), and once you make it to the roof stop, sip your cocktail, and take in the finest beauty New York City has to offer.
